Traveling during the low season is somewhat challenging. However, that doesn’t mean that being means also losing fun. It means less traffic and discounts for a destination like Tanzania. Travelers looking forward to discovering East Africa’s top destinations need to learn a lot about where to go to make the most of their exploration. In the last couple of weeks, we have been in 2022 for just a few weeks and I have taken the time to collect some insights. This blog post will guide you through unlocking information about the destinations you wish to book a flight to and enjoy your vacation, honeymoon, or adventure.

1. Serengeti National Park

As WTA’s World’s Leading National Park for 2021, it’s no accident that you should make this the first stop on your low season trip. The savanna land offers an abundance of exciting ways to enjoy its beauty, such as a game drive in a four-wheel-drive vehicle, a balloon safari, and a walking safari. It is most enjoyable and convenient to explore the Serengeti plains by vehicle, as this allows you to experience more of the beauty of nature. Famous for its annual wildebeest migration, which includes antelopes like zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles, as well as predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Low season is the best time to visit the park because it offers a more exclusive experience. It offers lower rates for its luxurious accommodations and fewer discounts. It is an assurance that the world heritage site will never lose its element of adventure no matter the weather or durations, which gives travelers confidence to book their reservations for Africa’s top attraction in 2022.

2. Zanzibar

Since their independence, the old Sultanate Islands have become one of East Africa’s top beach holiday destinations, overtaking the likes of Mauritius, the Maldives, and Comoros. The warm climate of the coast allows travelers coming from cold climates to experience a natural equilibrium of body temperature. The Zanzibar Islands offer a wide variety of experiences for tourists, including cultural excursions, historical explorations, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, etc. It’s inarguable that there is no better time to discover the three islands than during the low season when there is less traffic and lower prices for travel. Zanzibar is the world traveler’s top beach holiday location and comes in at a time when there is less traffic, so traveling during the low season can be more affordable.

3. Ngorongoro Crater

One of the great wonders of the earth is the crater of life, a place that contains both animals and plants. As a result of volcanic activity, the Ngorongoro Crater was created when Mount Ngorongoro collapsed after a violent eruption left a large hole known as a caldera. However, due to some misconceptions, it was referred to as a crater. There is also a human settlement in the destination, which is inhabited by members of the Maasai tribe of Nilotic ethnicity. The Maasai offer you such an educational excursion that will take you into the culture and ways of life of the Maasai, as well as a game drive into the crater fields where you’ll get to witness the likes of big five animals like Lions, Elephants, Black Rhinos, Leopards and Cape Buffalos. The Ngorongoro Crater will become one of your favorite destinations because of its diversity and abundance of wildlife during the low season.

4. Tarangire National Park

The Tarangire National Park known as the Paradise land of Elephants is one of the top northern circuit destinations boarding the tourism capital “Arusha” in the southwest of the region. In addition to its abundant natural beauty, the park is home to over 550 bird species and large Baobab plantations, as well as Lions, Cheetahs, Elephants, Eland, and Buffalo. Tarangire offers both game drive and walking safaris as part of its nature excursion. In the low season, a trip to Tarangire National Park is a must-do if you want to experience all the fun, joy, and appreciation of Tanzania’s untouched and spectacular nature.

5. Kikuletwa Hot spring (Chemka)

Kikuletwa Hot springs have become increasingly popular in recent years due to more explorations and discoveries by travelers all over the world. It makes for a fantastic day trip outing while you are in Tanzania. With an underground inlet that is a collection of different sources of water, the destination is known for its natural, lukewarm swimming pool experience. Chemka hot springs are located in the northern district of the Kilimanjaro region. It is a great place to go swimming, but you also have the option of going on an education excursion to the Kikuletwa waterfalls, which is a World Bank-funded research project aiming to train residents in renewable energy production and implement it practically. The Kikuletwa Hot Springs is a scenic vacation spot in the low season that is ideal for nature lovers, adventurers, and anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.
